12 weeks, and off to the US

On 20 June I flew to the United States for the first time. It was quite something.

I was selected as a Fellow in the MIT ASCENT Fellowship, a pilot programme that MIT and UPM run together around aerospace entrepreneurship. The programme lasted twelve weeks and ended with a week in Boston and Cambridge. I took the chance to visit New York as well.

In Boston and Cambridge I visited MIT.nano and the Real Colegio Complutense de Harvard, and I had a networking session at Venture Café Cambridge where I made a lot of contacts. What surprised me was how many Spanish people were there, and the quality of the people around me. It shows straight away.

At the Real Colegio Complutense I presented the projects we had developed during the programme. But what I take with me is not the visits, it is the density: the sheer amount of things being built in Boston. I loved the city.

An experience like this, I can only thank UPM for the opportunity.
